Redesign of ‘Studies of trees’, a classic botany studies text by Jacob Joshua Levison. For designing this book, only one typeface and one type-size was used.
The design of the book is mainly focused on shape and layout, because of the typographical restrictions. The headers, title pages, table of content; especially these aspects shape the structure of the book, give it some hierarchy. There is no page numbering in this book. Instead, all of the trees are alphabetically ordered and therefore deciding the order of the pages, like an encyclopedia.
